A bit strange what 5.3.2 does to my CSS menus, isn’ it?

(left side 5.3.1, right 5.3.2). Same problem anyone?

Hi tok,

Would you be able to post a URL so we can see the code?

Cheers

I loaded the 5.3.2 version up to this adress: http://kaws.virch.eu/
. Surprisingly the english and the german menus look o.k. there now; the greek one is still a mess, however.

The 5.3.1 version is here: http://www.kaws-info.com/

I seem to be the only one to have that problem with 5.3.2.

How many Freeway documents do you use to create this multi-language site? If it’s more than one, you might have one document overwriting another with same-named resources. That could cause the problem you’re seeing here.

If you’re only using one, try this: locate your local Site folder (on your hard disk) and empty it completely. Then publish again from Freeway. This will force it to completely re-calculate the pages, and make all new resources for all pages. Then use an FTP application to do the same thing to your server – clear out all aspects of your site from the Web root, and use Freeway to upload the entire thing again.

If that doesn’t fix it, then it might be down to the graphic text you’re using in these menus. Since you created these characters inline with GIF-styled text, there might be some styling reason why they are looking the way they do. As an alternate, try using HTML text or inline graphic boxes that are set as pass-through.

This ist what I did first; it did often solve problems like these for me before - but not in this case. I repeated the procedure a minute ago, same result.

Hm. Pretty unsatisfying. The GIF-styled text works perfectly in 4.3.1 (which is very comfortable as I often have to carry out menu changes). And if I’d use HTML some browsers might have problems with the greek font. I am afraid I have to keep on working with 5.3.1. Anyway, thanks for your answer!

Is anyone having this or any other problems with the 5.3.2 update?

I like to be up to date, but worry that thee might be some problems with updates. Especially bringing in previously done sites.
