Actions Trouble

Hi,

Are the Actions in the Beta 5 that are featured on Softpress’ website included? I don’t have them. For example, the CSS Menu action or the Scriptaculous ones are not showing up anywhere. I double checked under Page and Insert. I even opened up the Actions window and scrolled through all. Am I just missing something here? I feel like I’m going crazy

Look on the Softpress website for instructions on these actions:

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your help. Here’s the weird thing. I added some pics using a graphic box to the page. While one was selected, I went to the Item Menu>Actions. The Slave Show/Hide Layer action isn’t there. I did see the Combo FX and Attention FX ones-so I’m not going totally insane.

If I open the Action window and view by name, it isn’t there either. What could be up? Should I reinstall Ver 5? If I look back on Ver 4, I see the Slave Show/Hide Layer fine but of course there isn’t the fade effect. (I’ve used that one a lot!! Really, I know what I’m doing. :o) Or at least thought I did.

Thanks again for any advice.

Brian

We have changed the name from Slave Show/Hide Layer to Target Show/
Hide Layer so you will need to look under T. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks to you both for the quick reply. I’m away from my Mac right now (on evil computer at work!) so I can’t double check the layer. I don’t think I checked Layer in the Inspector. I did try to use the Target Show/Hide Layer as it sounded like maybe that would work. However, the Fade effect wasn’t visible in any of the menus. Does that mean the graphic wasn’t set as a layer? I had put 3 graphics on top of each other then selected Action from the Item menu.

Thanks again!

Fade is in the Effect dropdown in the Action. You wouldn’t have been
able to apply the TSHL Action to an item if it wasn’t a layer so that
couldn’t have been it.

I got it to to work just fine with the help of all above. I needed to set it as layers and apply the Action to each graphic. I didn’t read the directions closely enough I guess. Thanks again! I really appreciate it!
