I have uploaded my carousel to my server, but cannot see the images. The images have been uploaded to the server for sure, as I checked for them in the control panel file manager. Also, each time I upload to my server, it creates a new file called defaulta.xml, defaultb.xml, etc. Maybe the images are in the wrong spot?? Don’t know, I am new at this. Please help. I have been working for about 6 hours on this.
If you are certainly right that the images are in the right spot.
Try this. I had this several times!
When it is .jpg rename it to .jpeg.
Several times with different occasions i had this as solution!
Did you try deleting the file that has the added “a,b,c,d” etc from the Resources folder in Freeway? (after first backing it up somewhere just in case Freeway tanked your file.) I know, I know, don’t mess with the Resources folder, but sometimes Freeway gets confused and does this. Sort of how it handles graphic items that share the same name. Strange.
Do you have a sample page to look at so we can dissect the problem?

Personally I have used an FTP app like Transmit to upload the default.xml and image files so that FW cannot mess with them. I find it easier to put the images in their own folder “carousel_images” for example and give them generic names like image1.jpg, image2.jpg so then I can change the images by just uploading a revised image1.jpg without having to change the default.xml file. Just make sure that the path to your image folder is correct in the default.xml file.
Thank you all for responding. Ok, here was the problem. default.xml was uploaded to the resources folder, but it was in the wrong path. The file kept looking for it in my html folder. So I moved it along with the jpegs and presto!! Now if I could just figure out why my htaccess file is empty. Oh well, I keep learning! But thanks for all your help everyone!
good evening (or really good morning) to all! I am very interested in this action and am trying it out… and will try some of those tips listed above. I want to use this on a page with other things - is this possible?
Yes it will work along side other things on a page.

I followed your carousel tutorial and managed to get the basic version working but I wanted to incorporate Lightbox into the equation, as per your link, but I get lost in all the basic scripting required in Lightbox. (Probably because I’m a very novice user of Freeway.)
Do you have a more advanced tutorial that goes through the exact steps to incorporate Lightbox into a Carousel within a Freeway webpage?
Sorry I don’t. I will try and update the post when I get a moment free.
