Adding a fine rule above a para text

Hi I want to add a consistent rule above a text para, but cannot
remember how in CSS through extended?

Best wishes Peter

Make a paragraph style (basically, all you have to do is define one of the paragraph style attributes within your style – leading is a good one and that will get a little ¶ mark to the left of your style name) and then in Extended add

  • Name: border-top
  • Value: 1px solid #ccc

Obviously alter the color to whatever hex value you prefer. Remember there’s nothing smaller than 1px, so if you want it to look thinner, you just have to make it lighter. In Freeway’s style editor, space before translates into margin-top, and that’s what you would use to make your rule stay away from the preceding paragraph. If you need to space your rule away from the paragraph it’s applied to, then you need to use the Extended dialog again and add padding-top to push it away from the paragraph.
