Adding a link to an external site

Hi chaps, I know how to add a link to an external site in Freeway but a “Directory” wants me to add a link to get my listing ‘…enhanced…’ this seems ok and I don’t think I mind having their little logo on my home page.

They say:

Copy the HTML Code displayed in any one of the boxes below and add it to the HTML of your website homepage.

So, if I do it, where should it be added please ?

Choose INSERT then MARKUP ITEM and past your text into that. You can then place that holder anywhere on the page.

Hmmm. You’ve been told how to do this already - Insert > Markup Item
and paste the code, then scale the box to the appropriate pixel size

BUT… how legitimate is this directory? Which one is it?

The fact that you’re asked to provide a link back in order to enhance
your listing rings alarm bells in my head.

Yes Keith I did post this before but am pretty sure I didn’t get a response (I must say I am still not able to click on “People” to check my previous mails, it ‘freezes’ Safari) … anyway the directory is Freeindex which looks pretty legit. and to get my company logo on there with a link to my website and a couple of extra categories they want a link on my home page … no big deal (I hope) I’ll take any advice though … Regards Roger
