Adobe pdf printer

I ‘cloned’ my old Mac G5 onto a 24" intel iMac.

I thought a clone would be a carbon copy, but certainly some things doen’t work quite like they did on the Power PC G5.

One big nuisance is the loss of ‘print to PDF’ from, for example, a Word document. All used to be hunky dory, now nothing happens at all.

I’m not sure where to look for the culprit, is there a driver somewhere?..and where might or should it be stored?

Usually it’s handled by the OS, so there should be a PDF pop-up menu button in the bottom left of the main print dialog box.

There’s definitely a Save to PDF option in there.

Hope that helps.

I am sure you did no clone but migrated data & programs as PPC OS won’t run on a Intel Mac.

Update your OS on the Intel. Are you still at 10.6.0? Print to PDF is at th bottom of all Print dialog boxes. Bottom left corner.

Hi Dale, yes that better wording…migrated all my programmes and data.

Yes I’m still on 10.6.8 and intend staying so.
