I’ve been using a HP 4550N for many years (bought it in my innocence) but the machine is too big for my new location, and I have a hate-love relation with the beast anyhow… So, time to change.
I need a colorlaserwriter, for contacts with clients, and the printing of some 100 sheets documentation, now and then. I work alone. What would you recommend? I go for quality, speed is not really an issue.
I don’t really have a brand recommendation as I haven’t purchased a color laser printer in a few years. But I would recommend NOT going by specs alone. If it’s at all possible always get a sample printout from the prospective printer of from your own files. This way you will be able to judge the color fidelity better based on your own knowledge of your own work.
Hi Hans, I have a Xerox 6180n which I’m very happy with, but it may be too large for you at about 50cm high 40cm x 40cm.
Very good quality for the price, although the consumables are a bit expensive at about £130 per cartridge.

I have a Xerox Phaser 6120 which has been fine. I bought a Xerox on the
strength of other people’s recommendations.
