I am having a problem with a woorank.com suggestion.
alt text.
how do i do it the best way so it is recognizable?
I have noticed in the alt text box on the graphic inspector page there is something in there for every graphic. But woorank says that 28 of 25 are empty.
I think it is picking up on the graphics that are created when you publish your document. For example, you have rounded corners on your text boxes - the rouned corners are graphics. I dont think you can / should alt tag these.

Yes the drop shadow is creating graphic items and I guess woorank is picking these up. In FF there is a plugin where you can see the alttext and it shows a load of graphics round those items.

THis is what woorank is saying:
28 out of 32 images are missing the alt. and that i t makes a big difference.
High impactEasy to solve
Alternative text (the alt attribute) is missing for several images. Add alternative text so that search engines can better understand the content of your images.
would this have an influence of the text to html ratio?
Your website’s ratio of text to HTML code is below 15%, which means that your website probably needs more text content
Thanks

I realize this is an old post, but I just wanted to give the solution I found. It seems that Freeway doesn’t allow for alt tags to be put onto small images. So you will need to add the alt tag in the extended.
Right click the selected image and go to “Extended”. Make sure the tab is selected. The name is “alt” without the quotes. Then enter your description.
If you haven’t already found another solution, I hope this helps you.
