[ANN] ActionsForge updates

Joe Billings from Softpress uploaded some new Actions this week.
There’s the Rollovers and Targets 60 Project, which includes
“ours go to 60” versions of Rollover, Target Image, Target Load
Frame, Target Show/Hide Image, and Target Show/Hide Layer. Go ahead,
make pages only a T3 could love! Then there’s the much loved iFrame
Action, long thought extinct.

And I just added two new Actions: AjaxFileListing and [ReadFeed]
3, both of which just came out of beta. The former lets you display
a list of links to a folder full of files on your server, and the
latter allows you to re-publish a RSS feed (yours or another site’s)
as a list of links. I’m working on some more Ajax Actions to round
out this suite. If you have any suggestions, please let me know or
post comments on the Forge.

Have a look and give them a try!

Cool stuff, will these actions now be included in future Freeway updates?

I tried posting a comment yesterday and kept getting a database error involving my profile. I tried e-mailing off the contact form, not sure that went through.

If you mean the “60” versions of the various Actions, I suspect not. 20 is a good number for most sites, and 60 is frankly overwhelming in the Actions palette.

I may have missed it but could an RSS feed be added to ActionsForge along the same lines as MacUpdate and VersionTracker? This way whenever a new action is added or existing one updated it would be added feed subscribers would be informed quickly.

Each project has its own RSS feed, but I suppose I could make a
“master” feed for everything, or recent changes.

I’d like that, 'cause Walter there are going to be many 100s of amazing
actions on your really helpful site and I don’t think I can manage all those
feeds.

Best wishes Peter

Hey WALTER

I also seem to be having a problem with rollover 60. I have
28 images I need to show. I also agree 60 is too much. I installed all actions and the rollover + target hide image 60 does not work at all. Please advise

Thanks for providing us all with great stuff especially us neophytes
