# \[ANN\] SmoothScroll 0.2

The new version fixes a bug reported by Dan Jasker. Basically,  
Scriptaculous Effect.ScrollTo is broken in Firefox in version 1.8.1,  
which this Action is bound to in certain versions of Freeway. The  
Action looks at your version of Scriptaculous, and optionally patches  
the Scriptaculous library to work around this problem.

Walt–

Just took a look at the update and it works in Firefox however it doesn’t smooth scroll to the anchors like it does in Safari or Chrome. Heck even IE7+ got it right.

Odd Firefox wouldn’t get it.

Did you test this in Firefox to see? I updated the link I sent you so if you want to try it out as an example.

wait…this doesn’t smooth scroll in Chrome or Safari in my example either. Well that’s a step back from where it was originally.

I better get 0.1 again for backup purposes.

All it does now is just jump to the anchors instead of smooth scrolling. I’d hate to have to use MooTools since I couldn’t find an alternative to your Sticker action in a MooTools format. Also didn’t want to deal with the bloated code.

Download it again now, I updated the file a few minutes ago without  
bumping the version number. It should work now, in any browser.

Just updated Walt. It looks to be working in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. I will test out the IE’s in a bit here, but thanks for getting this fixed up.
