Another Option for Shopping Cart

Take a look at Wazala - http://www.wazala.com for an easy shopping cart solution. It is subscription based and very easy to integrate into your FW site.

Add a small bit of code to your FW site. Either in the head of the page for a modal box style overlay cart or insert it inline with the Crowbar action for it to display within your page.

Working on using it for a client right now - will keep you posted on how it goes.

Looks interesting for small scale shops at a relatively reasonable cost, but seems to me you still have to factor in the Paypal transaction as well.

Will be interested to hear how you get on with implementing it and if it’s scaleable enough.

I do not know about your experience but there seems to be a mental block with clients selling stuff online. They are quite willing to pay for overhead like rent and payroll for their brick and mortar businesses but when it comes to e-commerce they want everything to be free and open source. They want all the bells and whistles like the big e-commerce sites, Apple, Best Buy and Amazon to name a few but most of . They are not willing to pay for a reasonable subscription and PayPal fees for the convenience of a solution that works right out of the box.

Wazala is not perfect but it gets you up and running very quickly and have all the basic features like sales tax, shipping coupon codes etc.

Bells are reasonable, but whistles are outrageous!
