Anti Spam or Anti Spam

I understand that features of the Anti Spam Action are built into FW5. Does this mean the Anti Spam Action is now redundant or are there any further benefits the Action still provides?

As I understand it, Tim’s Action provides more options for masking.
The built-in Action is a more basic solution.

I’ve discovered that the built-in solution is a little aggressive. If you do hand coded bits, say you use some PHP code to send an email, it will encode email addresses in your hand code. Using Tim’s action will let you encode or not on a page-by-page basis, whereas the built-in version is the entire document or nothing.

(I have not checked this in the latest beta yet, so the behavior could have changed since I tried it.)

Thanks Heather & Joe

This isn’t too much of a problem to me, I use very little hand coding
and use mostly plain vanilla Freeway plus a few Actions (which make it
all remarkably flexible).

That just leaves one question. Is there likely to be any conflict
using the Anti Spam Action in FW5? No doubt trying it will solve that
one!

Thanks again for response.
