for information about a Freeway friendly blogging system in the final
stages of development.
I am particularly interested in input from people who are frequent
visitors to lots of blogs, since I only read a few of them, and have
tried to provide the sorts of features that I have seen in the
process. I am sure there are others that I have missed.
While I am looking for feature ideas, the goal of this project is to
provide a simple way for you to create a blog in Freeway, without
a lot of coding. It is not going to be a complete drop-in replacement
for [insert your favorite blog engine here]. It will probably do way,
way less than any other blog in existence.
You will need:
- PHP 4 or 5 on your server
- Apache server with mod_rewrite enabled
- MySQL 4.1 or higher on your server
- Ability to edit a text file and upload files using an FTP application
- Understanding of the concept of a template
