background colour outside page width

my site is 960px wide which leaves a large space either side. If I change the background colour this changes the page and the bits outside the page width… Is there a way of only changing the bits outside the page width , therefor leaving the actual page background as white ?? hope that makes sense

Hi Tony,

To do this, just create an html box the size of your page (960 x [whatever height])

Then change the background colour of the box to white.

In the inspector palette just apply different colors to the Page Background and the Window Background. That’s all.
