Banners from Keynote

This is probably old news but I just figured out you can create very attractive animations for websites in Keynote. Keynote generates good .mov files but they are larger than they need to be for use on websites. I used Stomp to compress the file to H246 format and it was reduced to about one fifth the original size. A 1000x400 animated banner with several object and text animations came out at 774 KB. It loads quickly and plays smoothly from my remote web server.

How popular is the .mov format with PC users? Is it supported in IE?

Anyone who owns an iPod (of any kind) has QuickTime installed. It’s
part of the iTunes software.
