Such a lot of talent on this forum I hope someone can help.
I want to resize lots of images for Exhibeo, I want them all to be 1024x640ppi, I’ve tried exporting in Lightroom and batch resize in Photoshop also ‘Graphic Convereter’ and they all come up with really odd sizes, I guess because the originals vary in aspect ratio, I don’t care about this as the small amount of distortion will be acceptable.
Any ideas anyone please ?
Many thanks Roger
Ideally I’d like to do this in Lightroom as that’s where the images are and I’d like as few ‘stages’ as possible but I don’t know a workaround.
If you record a set of steps in Photoshop, you can put a force resize in your recipe to make them all the same pixel dimension. Just un-check the little lock between width and height and you should be good. I would do this in one step, not as a separate step. Unless you are stepping down from a ridiculously-too-large original, it’s always best to make one resize per image, not multiple resizes (like taking the picture out of the Xerox copier out-tray and copying it again).

Actually, in case anyone else comes across this post, a chap called ‘Hal’ suggested I batch change the aspect ratio of all the images in the LR catalogue before exporting, this did it. I should really have thought about that but …
