Best video format for use on iPad

Could someone tell me please which video format is best for use in Freeway Pro 6 and for viewing on an iPad?

I have imported an flv file and used the player settings to HTML 5 and checked the iphone/ipad compatitibility

  • hit generate - uploaded all files to my server but the video wont display on iPad :frowning:

Any pointers anyone please?

You need to start with MPEG-4 (H.264/AAC format) video to have it do anything on the iPad or other mobile devices. FLV stands for FLash Video, which doesn’t play on any mobile device – except for a few versions of Android, and even there doesn’t work very well anyway.

Hi Walter

I didnt expect the FLV to play on the iPad but thought that the settings in Actions iPhone/iPad compatibitity and (generate) made the video ready for the iPad - my mistake :wink:

Will try again tomorrow
