I’ve been fighting on and off for a week to think of a reason why my comments, author, and labels don’t appear even though in the Blogger settings I have the boxes checked to show them (we’re talking after the blog.) I see Brian has it and they show up in my preview in Freeway, but when I copy and paste the code to clipboard and paste it in there, nothing. I’ve enabled comments for my posts, even wrote a new one to make sure it didn’t want to add comments to old posts.
I figured it out. Did some homework, turns out that Blogger can get clogged up once in a while and if the author, labels, or time of the post doesn’t show up that means your template is corrupted. What you need to do is go into your “Edit HTML” in Blogger and scroll down till you run into the line that says:
Remember where this is at in the code and then select that whole code part, cut and then hit “Save Template.” Then it’ll say you’re about to remove a widget and click “Comfirm & Save” and then scroll back down to where that previously was and paste it back in and hit “Save Template” and it works. Phew…close one.
