Box rollovers?

Is there a way in Freeway to do the type of ‘area rollovers’ on the above site? I’ve had a look at the source and I’m none the wiser.

Thanks

On the menu bar choose Map Area and pull down to the shape you want. Draw the shape over the area you want clickable and set a link.

But…I don;t think you can do a rollover color cahnge. You might just have to do a regular rollover that covers that entire area.

That’s one way. I’m sure there are others.

That may be done using CSS, but you can produce the same sort of
effect using ordinary rollovers.

First of all, note that you’ll have to either work with unlayered
graphics or group the various items in your rollover stack together.
(Freeway Express users don’t need to worry about this.)

If you have one large graphic and you’d like to have different areas
have independent rollovers just use the Inspector palette to set the
top-most graphic NOT to combine. This will make it slice whatever
graphics lie beneath along its edges. (It doesn’t do this in your
Freeway page of course, the slicing happens as part of the output
during publishing - you’re never left with a load of sliced-up bits
to try and hold together as you carry on designing your page.)

The slice item is likely to be the thing you want to show when rolled
over. The simple way to get that translucent effect is to give it a
fill and set the opacity of the fill colour to less than the normal
100%, using the slider at the bottom of the Colors palette.

Select the slice object (not the whole grouped set of stuff) and
apply the Rollover action to that. You can also give it a link.

You should be all set.

This thread shows (I think) exactly what you’re looking for : http://freewaytalk.net/thread/view/56164

The url I mention there (Valveco) shows the usage of these CSS driven boxes. The rollover is triggered by a link.
