Breadcrumbs

is there an option to include “breadcrumbs” in F5P?

Nothing automatic, but you are of course free to make them for
yourself. Master Pages are good for this sort of thing – a separate
Master Page per folder will do the trick.

Might it be possible to reformat the site map in freeway to handle this?

I’ve just been looking at the Freeway 5 Reference, and it looks to me
like the Navigation Bar Action on page 364 will create breadcrumbs. Is
this what you’re after, brm98?

I’ve created breadcrumb navigation menus on one of my sites, here is a link to a page deep in the site which demonstrates it,
http://www.seeleylakedograces.com/SL200/SL200%20Racer%20Profiles/barron,jason.html

be careful about how you organize the folders and files in your site when using the nav bar action, it took me a while to figure out how the action handles which page acts as a landing page for each breadcrumb link.

Am I the only person totally bamboozled by what breadcrumbs are?

I think they’re called mince pie crumbs this time of the year

Breadcrumbs are a navigation tool for tracking where you are in a
site. Take a look at our KnowledgeBase at Docs - Softpress Talk
and go to Getting Started and then Tutorials. The links below
Softpress KnowledgeBase are breadcrumbs.

And yes, the Navigation Bar is the automatic way of doing this in
Freeway.

I hope this helps.

When Hansel and Gretel ventured into the forest, they left a trail of
breadcrumbs to help find their way back. In a Web site, the equivalent
would be a line of links across the top of the page that look like this:

Home > Products > Widgets > Micro

With each but the last one being a link back to the level above.

I am glad somebody else asked before me - I didn’t want to look like a plonker.
