browser problems

Hi All,

I have come across a couple of problems on a site that is about ready
to go live. http://www.miresbeck.co.uk/indexa.php/nursery/

At the bottom of the html box that contains my CSS menu I have put a
graphics box. This displays ok in all the browsers I have looked at
except Firefox 2.0.0.5 where the graphic sits up the side of the menu
and the rest of the content in the centre of the page gets pushed
down. I have downloaded the latest Firefox at it is working ok. Can
anyone see a reason for this and how can I fix it.

On a slight aside when I look at my site in freeway the content of
this graphic box appears to sit half out of the box, if you remove the
CSS Menu action it appears in the box again, The site publishes
properly, but it is a bit off-putting to see this when I am working on
a page.

My other problem is on the Plant search page <http://www.miresbeck.co.uk/indexa.php/nursery/plantsearch/

which again works fine in all the browsers I have been working in
but displays code errors when I view it in Safari in Leopard. I have
just upgraded so this has only just come to light. On another machine
running Tiger the safari shows no problems.

regards

Neil

Hi Neil,

I don’t see the errors in Safari on Leopard, is there a particular
scenario that causes this? On FF2 I did see a security warning on that
page though.

With respect to the image, select it and go to Item>Extended. In the
dialog that appears click the tab and click New. In the
dialog that appears type “float” in the Name field and “left” in the
value field and click Ok. Click New again and in the Name field type
“clear” and in the Value field type “left”.

I only tried this by changing the code in FF2 itself so haven’t tested
on other browsers.

I hope this helps,

Joe

Thanks Joe, that trick on the image has worked fine.

I have just cleared my Safari cache and re launched it and the error
has disappeared so I have no idea what was causing that.

what would we do with out you

Neil
