Buttons action question

I created a button using the Buttons action. I wanted a caption on it and I thought I understood that I could put a graphics box on top of the button and type the caption in that. The problem I’ve run into is that when the cursor is over the part of the button surface that has the caption on it, it won’t change to the finger link cursor. I tried sending the caption to the back, but of course then you can’t see the caption.

Could someone please tell me what I’m doing wrong and how to do a caption on the button?

Thanks,
Martin

You can create text in your button by double-clicking the box that the
action is applied to and typing the text in there directly (so only
one box is needed). You’ll want to use the text alignment and shift
controls to center the text over the button body. You can also simply
group the button graphic and your second (text) box and apply your
link to the group, rather than to the individual elements.

Thanks so much, Walter. I typed the text in directly as you suggested and used the controls you pointed out. It works just fine. I appreciate the advice.
