can I create a forum?

How can I create a forum on my FW-created web site? I have a fairly large site with a few thousand members. I’d like to let them send me questions and post my answers on the forum so others can read them.
Any idears?

phpbb is free, it’s also fairy simple to set up but you will need
acess to a database.

Since its creation in 2000, phpBB™ has become the most widely used
Open Source forum solution. Like its predecessors, phpBB™ 3.0
“Olympus” has an easy to use administration panel and a user friendly
installation process, which allows you to have a forum set up in
minutes.

Hope this helps

OK, went there, downloaded version3.0 - apparently I can’t use that. I’m just looking for a way to set up a forum using Freeway. Is that possible?
(the phpbb installation required several options, none of which have I - i.e. SQL etc.)
BUT! I followed the link to www.easibase.com for Freeway examples and found what I needed there.

Thanks!

How is your site hosted? If you have one that includes CPanel for
administration you should have phpBB2 and SMF pre-installed in
Fantastico (well one click away, anyway). If you’re willing to install
a PHP script yourself then PunBB http://punbb.org is worth a look or,
for something a bit different, try Vanilla http://getvanilla.com.

Are you sure it’s a forum you want, though? If it’s just you answering
the questions a forum might be overkill.

Maybe “forum” isn’t exactly what I want. I want reader/members to be able to post questions, which I will then post an answer to, with both their question and my answer being publicly viewable. However, I don’t want others to be able to chime in their opinions. (We already have an online support group where they can do that.)

Does that sound like a forum or something else?
