Can More Than One Person Work On the Same Site?

My partner in crime and I are a town apart and there’s one section of the latest site we are working on that could use two people working on it.

Is it possible to have two people work on the same site?

It’s a photo gallery-type section with lots of pages and lots of images.

Thanks…

I guess if you were to decide on the master for the website (ie. the design that would feature the same on each page) and then both had a copy of the master it would be possible to both work on different pages, adding different pictures…just as long as you didn’t deviate from the master otherwise you would end up with completely different looking pages!

Hope that helps,

FT

I think the bottom line here is you cannot both work on the same Freeway at the same time. You can work on two separate versions of the same file, but combining them later will be a hassle.

I feel this is the largest drawback of Freeway-that there is no collarborative way to edit content for the same webpages.

Yes there is. This is where a CMS system comes in like WebYep. You might think a CMS system is only there for the end client to edit his site.

But its also very useful for swift updates to your own sites. Or letting staff of colleagues to maintain page content for you, regardless of how you the designer is styling the site.

You just need to think creatively how to split the work load.
