Can you apply 2 different E-Shop actions?

I have been asked to create 2 separate Mal’s accounts for one website that is shared between 2 clients, so that payments can go to their respective PayPal accounts. If the E-Shop settings Action is applied to the Site folder, where one clients Mal’s ID will be inserted, can another E-Shop settings Action be applied (with the other clients Mal’s ID) to a Folder within the Site folder, since that is the way Freeway works, that would contain the other clients objects for sale?

From sites I have built before I notice that the Action’s yellow cog icon on the folder does not appear on folders within the Site folder for example.

Hi Kryten - I doubt that can be achieved as he action relates to the whole site folder - as far as I can see.

I have a similar problem in trying to have products on different pages going to different language carts. I may have to run 2 separate mals accounts but then there’s the problem of them linking to one web site and one freeway document.

I haven’t found any answer yet

Thanks Mike.

I had a reply from Softpress Support, saying it can be done. You have to make sure you apply the E-Shop Action to 2 separate Folders within the Site Folder. Obviously you apply the Mal’s ID to each Folder and then it should work. It doesn’t get round the problem that should a customer (or client as they call them now) buy from each ID, the respective Carts will not reflect the ‘Purchase’ from the other Cart, if you follow my meaning.

You’ll need to check for yourself, but I’m pretty sure Tim Plumbs “Mals E-commerce Suite” action can be applied to as many different Mals accounts as you desire without any fuss, but I could be wrong. Too busy to do the research for you right now. Has a lot of additional goodies also.

Hope I’m right.
