I just posted the first edition of my new website. This is the first time I have used anything besides iWeb. The architecture section is finished and I would love it if people could give it a test drive. I have other sections up with links but they have filler photos with rollerovers (for fun) until I get those sections posted.
Please let me know if a link doesn’t work, formatting looks funky, etc… thanks, rob
You use a lot of graphic “text” when it should be just HTML text for search-ability reasons. It’s also harder to read, perhaps a boost up a pixel size or two.
I’d also recommend putting the site-name and page titles in the “title” field in the inspector. For instance you just have the word “architecture” for one section when it could be “robertjillson.com :: Architecture” Just to avoid using one word page-titles. Also it shows a way of “bread crumbing” around the site.
The dog in those roll-overs is adorable. So, keep that somewhere.
All your image sizes (file size wise) are great, so it loads up fast.
The e-mail link on your about me doesn’t go to an e-mail address. Even though it’s written out on the page itself (again graphic text) it doesn’t put it in the address bar in Apple Mail.
thanks a ton. I really appreciate you going through everything. I am a newbie so the graphic versus html text is something I will have to bring myself up to speed on.
Once I address all those items and get the other sections up, I will post again if that is cool.
