Can't find the Actions folder

I’m using the Freeway 5 free trial to build a website. I can’t find the actions folder. When I go to Applications > Freeway, there are no additional folders. Is the Actions folder not available in the trial version? I want to add a Pay Pal shopping cart to the website. I was attempting to use the “E-Buy Text” action for this process.

Your comments and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Freeway Pro 5 free trial?

Simplest way to install a new action (that is compatible with FWP5) is to double click on it. This will launch Freeway which will then ask if you want to install it.

Otherwise, the actions are in your user library. The path is user/Library/Application support/Freeway Pro 5/Actions

Thanks, I found it but there was nothing in the folder. Do I need to go to the PayPal site and download the code or action into this folder?

No these are Softpress actions that should have come with your Trial!

The normal way of applying an action is to select the item that you want to add the action to and then choose:

Item>Actions>theactionyouwant

Page>Page Actions>theactionyouwant

Or Insert>action item>theactionyouwant

After I created a graphic box and inserted the “E-Buy” button inside of it, I got this message in the Actions palette:

CANNOT USE THIS ACTION

This action requires a web address. You can set this in the upload section of the document set-up dialog.

I have no idea what this all means.

All I’m trying to do is create a PayPal “Add to Cart” button for each of the 56 items I’m selling on my wholesale greeting card website.

When you downloaded Freeway there should have been a folder called “Freeway Shop” and in there is the Freeway Shop User Guide. Did this not come with the trial?

No, I don’t recall seeing anything like that.

Hi Jerry,

If you just want a simple Paypal button then you can get the code from
Paypal and add it into a Markup Item from the Insert Menu. If you want
a more advanced online store then you can use the E-Buy Action that
you already found (it’s part of the Freeway Shop Action suite Joe
mentioned). There is a tutorial for use in the Freeway Reference guide:

Also, have you seen the QT tutotirlas?

I hope this helps.
