Can't get rid of video

Hey everyone,

I have a problem wherein a video that is not supposed to be on my pages is showing up on every page. In Freeway it doesn’t show any sign of this video, but when I publish the site they show up all the time!

Check it out here:
www.thesurvivorshipnetwork.com

Any ideas?

And one one more thing. . .

It isn’t on any of my master pages either. It just shows up behind other videos that are on my pages causing audio, download, and visual problems.

Hi Benjamin,

Do you have any markup on your page that is adding the code? If so you
won’t actually see any movie items on your page, just the item that
contains the code that adds the movie.

If there isn’t then make sure you are uploading to the correct place.
If not the new page won’t overwrite the old one.

If it is, feel free to send your Freeway file into
support(a)softpress.com and we’ll take a look for you.

Regards,

Joe

What is the video that is giving you the problem?

I found this on http://web.mac.com/bldredge/BCS_Network_/treatmentsideeff.html

Which is referenced in an iFrame on http://web.mac.com/bldredge/BCS_Network_/index.html

There was a server virus floating around a few months ago that was injecting movies into web pages. You might want to have a look through the archives here for more detail. HaveHost was the server in that case, so James Wilkinson should know what to look for.

Thank you for all of the replies. I ended up rebuilding from scratch (cut and paste.) I still have a small problem that is baffling me, but I’m not too panicked about it right now. The video issue is now resolved, but I think it was an issue in Freeway that I’ve seen once before.

Joe Billings, take note. . .

I originally built the video pages using a master page that contained a video. I simply dragged and dropped videos on top of this master video as I built the site. It worked great after the first publishing, however I eventually deleted the master video on the master page and suddenly it started showing up behind all of the other videos. Really strange quirk. . .

Thank you again,
Ben
