Can't open existing html files

I am using freeway pro trial for Mac and am not too familiar with building websites.

I would like to open (or import) existing files (on my hard disc) of type HTML Text (.htm resp. .asp) into freeway and modify them. These files have frames. I can open the files in Safari and they are online on a FTP server.

When I try to open such a file from the freeway open dialogue box the files appear grey (not active). When I try to open them from the file, freeway crashes.

How can I work with these files?

You can’t with Freeway. Freeway is a code generator not a code editor.
