Can't open site in 4.2.2

I built my site in 4.2.2 on Panther. Got Leopard on another drive. Got 5 and opened the site in Leopard. Went back to Panther and tried to open the site and gpt a message that 4.2.2 can no longer open the site. 5 has changed some of the fonts which will take hours to correct because they are in my nav bar grouped. Is there a way to have the site open in either version?

When 5 opened the site it will have saved a version that 4 can still open.

This will be called something like ‘yoursite[FW4].freeway’

So using 4.2.2 File>Open and then navigate to where ‘yoursite[FW4].freeway’ is.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, that got it open. My nav bar table got screwed up by opening it in 5. It is 280H X 98W on the master page, which are the correct deminsions, but for some reason on all the doc pages, the cells have expanded heighth to 522 and even when I copy and paste the correct table, it pastes to the large size.

I am also getting a message I haven’t seen before when previewing each page, which may be related to opening in 5.

“One or more HTML files which do not belong to this site will be overwritten. Do you want to continue?”

Back in 4 create a new site folder to publish into eg:

yoursite4folder.

5 has written files that of course 4 does not recognise as belonging to the original FW4 doc

Work on a copy of the FW4 file until you are happy that 5 is treating it right.
