Though I’m no fan of Google I’ve used their reCaptcha service to very good effect.
Even better, they recently updated it to v3 which no longers require the user to click a bunch of thumbnails. Instead it uses a special algorithm that runs in the background and if it returns a “safe” value the form can be submitted. If not it will throw an error.
In short, as a hands-off solution it’s much more user-friendly which has always been a big negative for captchas in general.
