I find it pretty remarkable that nobody was hurt. Have you seen how thick that glass is? If it was Gorilla glass, the poor sod would have been bounced back into the street – probably into the path of an oncoming car. I’m guessing Steve designed the windows* to fail that way on purpose.

It is amazing. Every time I’ve been in there it’s been stuffed with people, annoyingly so. At any other time of day it probably would have been. Plus it’s situated on a small triangular block between two very bust intersections with a lot of foot traffic and a subway station just a few feet away on the side. The way the store is designed the car could have conceivably sailed in through one glass wall and straight out the other one right into another busy intersection.
