# Carousel Button 2 stopping Auto play

I have set Carousel 2 to Auto play but using either forward or back button disables the auto play, other than a refresh which fixes it. Have I missed something?

I think it’s designed that way, the text on actions forge says:

Carousel 2 Tab (and Carousel 2 Text Tab) may be used to create links to specific panes of the animation. When these are clicked, the (optional) auto-animation will stop and the carousel will turn to show the chosen pane.

I had Start and Stop options in the original Carousel, so you could create additional buttons to perform those actions with the auto-play. I’ll have a look at adding them back the next time I dig into this Action.

Hi Walter,

That would be very nice if you could implement an option to create a button that would reactivate the play automatically function.

My suggestion and my wish was to have a play/pause button.
