I always thought that with the Carousel action buttons can’t change except for the border. With these examples it appears they can! Can someone explain how you can do this? Very interested…

If you make your buttons as transparent images (just the type centered in a transparent image like a 24-bit PNG) and then use CSS background images to create the rest of the button, you can swap background images as part of the .active class style that Carousel moves from tab to tab while the effect animates.
