cms picturegallery in freeway (webyep)

hi folks,
my question of the day
is it possible to create a picturegallery with the functionallity of “paul’s gallery”?
i mean the gallery should have:
• thumbnail preview,
• zoom inkl. prev + next in the popup
• collecting pictures in “theme”-groups
• storing “old” groups in archives
and now the clue: it should be editable for my client.
i used webyep for the whole site, but paul told me, that webyep is not compatible with his gallery-action.

any suggestions i’ll get to the result i should have?
thanks for your help and greez

Hi Purity its yes well to a certain amount

  1. thumbnails - yes
  2. zoom using light box - yes
  3. next and previous yes - yes (this is possible using the pre-release beta webyep 1.2.5)
  4. themed groups - yes (you could make different loops and each loop could be a different theme)
  5. storing old themes - the only way to do this would be to use the webyep menu and then create new pages when you would like new groups to appear so you could name each section by date like

jan-march 08

then next page and link would be

apr-jun 08

etc
and because you an rearrange page links in order then you could shuffle the older gallery themes down the list
so with a little bit a lateral thinking it can be done
in the next few days I will be constructing an example if people are interested

If you’re using Freeway 5, it’s built in. If not, then Tim Plumb’s
Anti Spam Action [1] is well worth the price.

HI purity
the pre-release webyep-system link is here:

http://www.obdev.at/ftp/pub/Products/WebYep/nightly/WebYep_Plain_1.2.5Pre2_en.zip

as I said its a public beta so I would use it just for testing at the moment but this version does allow for webyep lightbox images in a loop to use the next and previous buttons.
