In fact, it would also be super cool to have something like the news scroller on the BBC news website as well.

This definitely seems like a task at hand. I will see how I can work with it. Thanks.

My main goal at hand is simply to be able to insert something that would go on top of everything else on the page without having to make the page bigger and drag everything down 100 pixels or so. I know that this probably can be done because there have been a few times where I have messed up some markup text and have inserted lines of code at the top which moved the entire page down. Since these announcements will only come every once in a while, I wanted to keep my pages the same. Is there a particular area I should be looking to place code in order to accomplish this?
