Colour management

Hi - I’m being stupid again but I picked a colour for my background - named it BG then fiddled with a couple of other ideas and wanted to go back to it but BG was missing from the list in the editor, “Oh well” I thought and picked it again - tried to name it BG and got the message this colour exists - but where ? also I have several colours in the little square swatches palette and would like to delete them but don’t seem able to and have a few “unnamed” that I’d also like to tidy up. Your advice will be most welcome on this really dreary bank holiday Monday morning - I didn’t want to go to the beach anyway ! Regards Roger

In the 'Colours" inspector - click on the cogwheel>Edit colours

This will bring up all your colours and do with them as you see fit.

Hi David - I told you I was stupid - I’ve been managing colours in the edit box and hitting the b/g colour, going to “other” etc and, obviously, getting nowhere. I AM slowly reading my way through the old 4 reference … got to 3-1 last night but it’s quite hard going reading pages and pages on-screen - looking forward to the printed version. Thanks again Roger

Umm…you may be waiting a VERY long time. Softpress does not always offer a printed version of the manual. The pdf manual can always be printed of course.

Hi chuckamuk - I thought I heard that there was a printed version (though quite a large amount of dosh) - probably my mistake. I’ll have to look into printing it. Being an old-fashioned guy (and also, as it happens, old) I like to sit in the garden or in front of the Tv (and not watch it) but browse a manual - how sad is that ? Take care Roger

Is the PDF reference that appears on the “Help” > “Using Freeway” (in v5 Pro) not as in-depth as the Freeway 4 Manual? I just looked it over (the 5 one) and there seems to be a lot of the basic info and plenty of mention of some guy named Keith.

Thanks Mitchell - no the help file (excellent as it is) is the printed ‘manual’ that comes with the boxed set and is 120 pages, the reference (which is currently only available for 4) is much more comprehensive and is 500 pages and it was available as a printed version for £24 - I think at that price I’ll live with viewing on screen until the bound/printed version for 5 is available. Best Roger
