Is this possible in freeway, or does anyone know of how/ways that I can provide my client with data thats supports their requiments.

Hi there

I use a combination of StatCounter http://www.statcounter.com/ and Walter’s FreewayPro counter http://freewaypro.com/counter/.

The former needs you to add some supplied short code to a master page and the latter uses an action.

Hope this helps.

I use twatch for various sites I have:

It needs access to a database and php to be on the server.

Simply you need to add a line of code to the start of each page for
php pages or it can be added using javascript but to be honest I use
the php way.

Is this what your looking for.

Google Analytics is very comprehensive and totally free, the only
requirement is that you have a google account: Analytics Tools & Solutions for Your Business - Google Analytics

I second that for google analytics. Plus in FW5 there will be added functionality for this.

Cool, had a look at all suggestions. Google Analytics looks to be just the job.

Just creating my account now, is this easy to implement?

I’m assuming they will provide my with the code, is this then applied to my ‘index’ page via ??? and will this track the entire site, or is it required on each page you wish to have results returned?

Can you have multiple site’s within your account that use’s Analytics.

Thanks guys

Yes, very easy. They supply the code onscreen and you copy it and paste it into HTML MarkUp > Before /Body

Heh - quite possibly.
The iPhone’s browser is surprisingly good; even
when at home I’ve been as inclined to grab it as
open a laptop or go to the desktop to take a
quick look at something online. And of all the
mobiles I’ve used and owned - including some
large-screen monsters such as the T-Mobile Ameo -
there’s never been a mobile that was that good
before.

However… sad, sad news. For me, anyway. Last
weekend, while hauling rocks around the garden,
my wallet got pushed up in my pocket. Then, while
walking past my pond, it fell out. Splash. And
yep, the wallet holds my iPhone.

I tried everything I could think of, including
gaffer-taping it sideways into the spin-drier
(1200rpm, no heat) to use centripetal force the
water out of the ends. But with no way to isolate
the battery, it fried itself.
My youngest son even found a video online that
shows how to hide the little telltale that shows
Apple staff that it got wet, but I can’t bring
myself to do that. (Damn my honest upbringing!)

So David, if the stats show an iPhone browsing
within the past week it certainly wasn’t me. :frowning:

I will get another soon. As I said, I’ve used and
evaluated a number of different phones, including
some that are supposed to be top-notch. The
iPhone really is a huge leap past them all. But
bang goes another £269. In the meantime, I’m
using my previous ‘best of’ mobile, and hating
every second.

But at least I can use it to demonstrate interactive VR images.

Anyone notice google analytics and adwords (Google servers) creating problems with sites loading of late? I have found it an be very slow and even stop the site loading after the google code is called.

Check the source of your page. Is the call to Google at the top or
the bottom of the code? Does this behavior change if you move it to
the other end (just as a test, using a text editor)?

It’s not just my pages Walter, it’s also some other domains I visit
that use Google analytics or adwords now don’t seem to load at times
(last 4 or 5 days), looking at the status bar shows the address just
sits at a google domain and the page content stops loading. Some days
its analytics and others it can be adwords domains.

I have some adwords code about 30% down one page that stopped loading
a few days ago, I finally removed it. Another domain I have adwords
about 80% down the page in a table column that I have had for a couple
of years no problem, a few days ago I noticed the page stalling when
loading the info from the google ad words domain… today it is ok but
just visited another domain (not mine) and see their page stalls on
loading Google analytics.

Just wondered if it was me!
