?? “Save to Archive” is the automatic way to have images saved to the media folder? How/when do I do this on a regular basis if that is the way to go – or is this just part of the recovery effort?

Nonono! This is a way to create a template from your site design. It
can also be used to approximate the ‘package’ feature in DTP apps -
but it isn’t something you should do on a regular basis. That would
be like moving house to avoid tidying up the front room!
Just put your images into your Media folder before putting them into your site.

And for the images in your pages that were imported from the CD…

First copy your images to the Media folder.

Then go to your Freeway document, double-click one of those images
that’s on your page, and you’ll see a dialog that tells you a little
about it.

There should be a Locate button; click that, navigate to your Media
folder, and select the new copy of the image.

This is all you need to do to get Freeway to link to the image that’s
in the Media folder rather than the CD.

I’d like to add that Freeway is smart enough to recognise other
“missing” images in the new location, so potentially you only need to
relink one image for the others to be automatically relinked.
