contacting Have-Host

I think this conversation just occurred on this site recently but I could not find it. I was thinking about switching my domain registration and webhosting to Have-Host, since they are Mac- friendly and Freeway-friendly. However, they do not respond to my inquiries posted from their support page . I just sent a third request in either three or four days. Since I’m sending it from their website, I don’t have a copy in my Sent folder to document my attempts. I wouldn’t think they took the weekend off for Veteran’s Day.

I’m having trouble communicating with my current service, and am looking for a host that values its customers a little more. I’m open to recommendations. In fact, I need to make a change right away.

Try David Owen at Printline Advertising, a regular contributor to this forum, for another Freeway friendly host. Just go to http://www.printlineadvertising.co.uk/freeway for more info.

Also, I’ve used Fasthosts (http://www.fasthosts.co uk) for some time now and, although not Freeway people, they are helpful and good for what little support I’ve needed. i.e. everything just seems to work as it should.

I have used James @ Have-Host for the past four years and have always had quick and helpful service, I have sent him a msg through the support ticket system and perhaps we can find out why ?

Any reselling hosting service is only as good as the support available when
you need it and it is that part of the job that put me off offering hosting
as I have too many fingers in too many pies to dedicate to doing it as it
really needs to be done.
Its true that a lot of the time everything just works so if the tech spec is
up to scratch and it all works fine and you get personal support then you
will be well content.

I use and recommend clook - I feel their support information and ticket
system is professional and consistent - and their service has been excellent
and affordable.

PS it doesn’t matter where your domains are registered. You can point the
name servers to wherever.

Many here will attest to how good James at Have-Host is, and I would as well.

Perhaps (and I am just speculating here, I have no idea for real) James would have jumped on your contact if it was a technical issue such as having a problem with a site you had hosted with him. But since it was a sales call, he might have been waiting until the weekday.

Then again, maybe I’m the only one who does that. :~)

Every time there’s been any issue, James has been on it before I contacted him, he’s made improvements to the service in the mere six months I’ve been with him (junk mail getting through to accounts has dropped to nearly zero), and he’s extremely helpful with even basic enquiries (“how do I… ?”).

Give him a little time, I suspect you’ll hear from him this AM, but it’s still a little early yet.

Darn, I took too long to type. Ignore what I said about sales calls on weekends. I was projecting. :slight_smile: But the part I said about how great James is is still true.
