I have been asked to quote on a ecommerce site for a client.
I have produce a ecommerce sites in the past using Freeway, which work well.
But what they have requested is a quote for a standard site and one that can be content managed by themselves.
They want the ability to be able to change products, prices etc
I’ve look at Web Yep etc, is doing this level of project possible using Freeway
the most exciting shop-system for me actually is ecwid:
Just brief:
Easy to install within freeway
The backend is fully “customers game”
and one thing (you won’t need if full-system is installed) is, that you even can place single products (or only the add-to-bag button) within webyep richtext elements very easy.
Especially the last point is something that every “designer” should animate to take a closer look into this.

In my opinion is not a practical solution for your client to master
the e-shop, one way or the other things will get scramble. I did it
one time and all I get was a huge headache. Better quote for all
services at once, building and e-store manager (web master), if not
let it go, at the end you win.

Quoted the job to do as a standard ecommerce site and then a CMS with a healthy increase in price, to put the client off, even offering a years free updates on a standard site.
They have emailed me a PO this afternoon for a full CMS Ecommerce site.
I like a challenge, but what to do now?
Thomas have you done a full ecommerce site with Freeway and Ecwid? Any links to view?
