I am a registered user of the MenuMachine plugin for GoLive, and can confirm that it is a great and easy tool for creating menus - but currently only within GoLive. Since Adobe announced that GoLive was being discontinued, there was a lot of chatter about what was going to happen with MenuMachine. The blog post hopefully shows the way forward. It sounds very interesting and should allow for easier integration of menus created with MenuMachine to be integrated into many third party softwares.
I previously managed to integrate a MenuMachine created menu into a Dreamweaver site, but editing the menu meant having to go back into GoLive to access the menu editor. Not ideal, but at least it worked. The new version, being standalone, should make things a heck of a lot easier.
On the surface that is interesting… but very unlikely they will support Freeway directly. The problem is with the fact that Freeway “generates” code. An action seems very problematic as far as integrating it with an external application that generates html itself. Sounds like a giant headache to me, but if they offer a solution it would be very exciting option.
