Creating a box around text...?

I’d like to place boxes behind my text and I actually don’t know how to do this.

Pro or Express?

If you just want a coloured background to your HTML item then that can be added in the Inspector under the paintbrush tab, also add some padding to the box to keep the text away from the sides.

If in Pro you can draw a layered box (HTML or Graphic) and send it behind the box with your text in (if it is a layered box too)

Express.

I want the box to have slightly rounded edges. I’ve seen this done in freeway, just not by me.

Easy with graphic text - not so sure if it is doable that easily in Express with HTML text.

Whats your preference?

Now I don’t have Express so I am doing this in FW with the CSS button off (table based layout as Express)

‘Draw’ your HTML container on the page, add your text etc.

‘Draw’ a graphic container over the top of your HTML one.

You will see a blue box with an X in it, but with the graphic container still selected Item>Send to Back.

The HTML container should reappear but the graphic container is still selected and you can style it ie add the rounded corners using the Paintbrush Tab and then down to the Shape options which gives you a section to change the corner radius (bottom right).

As I say I don’t have Express so your mileage may vary.

You’re absolutely right David. Sorry for all the confusion and your wasted time. I need to focus in on the problem more clearly before I ask for help.

Thank your for your patience.
