Creating stand-alone GIF using FW Pro

Hi, folks.

I’m running an ad in an online newsletter for my company, The 60 Second Marketer. The online newsletter has asked me to send them a 336 x 280 GIF.

I’ve created the 336 x 280 ad in Freeway Pro 5, but every time I export the ad and open it up on Preview, the type looks bitmapped.

I’ve tried everything – creating the type as a graphic, creating the type as HTML text, changing the typeface size, saving the ad as a jpg, gif, and/or png file. But no luck – the type still looks jagged, not smooth.

Suggestions?

Are you looking at the ad in preview @ 100% size ?

Why not open the gif in a browser (file > open), and view the file as the end user might see it.

Hi, David –

I think I found the solution. I did a search on the Freeway Talk site that offered a suggestion (note to self: Always start in the Freeway Talk search section).

If I hit “anit-aliasing” and create a jpg, it works out fine.

Thanks for your suggestion.
