CSS - How to add your own Styles

Hi,

Hoping someone could please let me know how I can add my own CSS styles into Freeway 5 Pro to be used in a page ?

Thanks.

There is no one good resource for learning this, but I would start with the Softpress manual for the basics. More detailed information about styles in general and not specific to Freeway can be found online and in your local bookstore.

Another way to learn this is to look at files that others have done. Big Erns put together some informative examples for Freeway Pro 4 some time ago, but the still apply to FW5 as well.

You write them by using the ‘Edit Styles’ window. If you got to the
styles palette and say ‘New Style’, you can then write whatever style
you like, and apply it to what you want.

You can also import an entire style sheet, but it’s best to test this
somewhere like a stunt document first. Certain types of (valid)
styles are not imported correctly by Freeway, because it doesn’t have
a graceful way to deal with ID tags.

There isn’t a FWPRO5 manual as such yet, but read through the CSS Primer portion of the FWP4 manual here…
