OK, would that help people be able to click on it?
here is what they wrote as the problem:
Hey, I just tried to open up the website to show someone at work on Internet Explorer 6 and was unable to click on any of the tabs…you could only view the first page.
Again the problem now is with Internet Explorer 6 and the inability to open any of the other links ie. products, disscusion, contact us etc…it does however work with IE7. We can’t get orders if people can’t enter the site and get to the store!!!
Recent figures suggest that IE6 support is down at 4.93% - Some say 4.1%
and reason would lead us (at least Me, in this instance) to see that this is a 4% that don’t have the money or desire to move up to a newer machine. simplistically, they are either too broke or too cheap. at any rate, they do not/can not, spend. so : if marketing as at stake here, they are the 4% that matters least.
what may not be so obvious is that not every viable customer has DSL. and marketers are well advised to keep things trimmed down so that even the 56k people can at least browse.
56k’rs will more often call in the order than broadband users.
56k people trend towards the mature end of the age spectrum.
you may never meet one, but like episcopalians, a lot of 56k’rs are loaded.
yes, i Know they may still be on ie-3.1, but the effect is statistically more pronounced between the 56k vs broadband than any 4%.
(i got a good friend who consults on integrated marketing, and he fed all this poop)
… this is as pertains to here in the colonies.
You can get FW to make one for you. Draw a graphic item on your page (10px square) - no colour. With it selected File>Export - give it a memorable name ‘nothing’ and save it to your media folder.
Then in your CSS Menu settings: Main Menu Settings>Background and for the Colour section tick ‘Use Image’ and select your image you made earlier.
Leave the other settings and upload and try it.
Do you know anybody apart from your client that actually has IE6 to look at it for you?
But as to my point earlier if your bottom links had been working then IE6 users could be using them.
And I return to another observation I made a good few days ago about typos/punctuation in your text.

You don’t have IE6 compatibility turned on. Select the page, open the Inspector, go to the third icon across the top and set “Compatibility” to “IE6/IE7”. This should be the first thing to check if things don’t work in IE6.

Thank you. Should
I do that for all the pages or just the home one?

You should do it for any page you want to work in IE6, including your Masters.
Hope this helps,

Well - the spell checker might be of some help Julie - or maybe not (cost / coast?). But you really need to be much more disciplined when writing. And afterwards read everything you have written before hitting the upload button. If you had done so surely you would have seen the errors Dave has highlighted? Your cavalier use of English may amuse this forum’s readers but to post poor spelling, grammar, punctuation and layout on a client’s site is not prudent.
As for your navigation bar I am seeing it way down the products page and also misplaced on the home page.
