css menu validation

Hi

I Am working on a new site using pro5. On one page I have a navigation laid out using a table, no links active on it yet, and it validates for html and css fine. On a second page I thought I would have a go at using the new CSS menu and it looks and woks fine except it doesn’t validate for html or CSS.
I Get the following error or CSS

90

Parse Error - margin-left:5px

and the following error for html

Line 96, Column 1624: document type does not allow element “dl” here; missing one of “object”, “applet”, “map”, “iframe”, “button”, “ins”, “del” start-tag.
… style=“cursor:default”>Our Plants<dl**>**

<a href=“#” st

Any clues as to what has gone wrong?

Neil

Sorry I forgot to put the urls in

<http://www.miresbeck.co.uk/2008/> table nav

<http://www.miresbeck.co.uk/2008/two.html> css nav

managed to get rid of margin left error but it now has parse error overflow visible, even though I have changed it to hidden

Hi Neil,

For the moment can you change the list into a default list (select all and in the Inspector set the List type to “Default”, the Action will remove the bullets from the list for you so don’t worry about this). This will pass the validation and in the meantime we will look at the cause of this and get it fixed so you can use an unbulleted list.

Thanks for letting us know about this.

Many thanks,

Hi Neil,

That’s strange, it looks like Freeway’s not removing the in-line
padding. As a workaround, remove the padding from the item with the
menus applied.

Could you also send the document to me at

email@hidden

too so I can take a look at the cause please.

Cheers,

Joe
