CSS menus

I don’t think this has been covered before - sorry if it has. I am using a horizontal css menu. In Safari and Firefox it is working ok, but in IE6 it is much wider and breaks out of the layout. I’m assuming this is because of how IE renders the page as it’s the same as on the softpress site, although on the SP site they have left more space on the right hand side to cope with this. It wouldn’t be too much of a problem if I could range the menus right, but cannot find where this could be achieved.

Hi Nathan,

What do you mean by much wider in IE6? It looks the same and is the same width in that browser as it is in Safari and FF.

Cheers,

Joe

Yeh you’re right Joe.

I have been using Virtual PC with IE 6.0 to proof my work and it doesn’t work within that but using NetRenderer it does show up correctly. Must be VPC that is wrong then - doh!

It really depends a lot on what Service Pack is installed on your
IE6. There are some improvements from none to SP1 to SP2, and it’s
hard to say what NetRenderer is using.
