I think I looked at this before. Although I like the simplicity of usage, I have a problem with it being “hosted” thus having no control. Should their servers go down…so does your CMS. Not that that wouldn’t ever happen with your own server, just the idea makes me nervous.

The other thing about CushyCMS is that it’s a great fit for an application like Dreamweaver or anything that actually edits HTML, because when your client uses it to makes changes, the edits are made directly to the HTML files on your server. The next time you upload from Freeway, those changes are overridden by the “old” version in your Freeway file.

WebYep or TInyCMS (on the low end of the pay scale) or ExpressionEngine (or another high-end CMS) will allow you to separate the content from the layout and actually leverage the client’s input rather than fighting with it.
