Deleting unwanted colours

I know the answer is probably no, but I presume there isn’t a quick way to delete Unused Colours to thin out an overstocked palette. A lot of professional apps can do it, so I thought maybe…

I trust you mean is there a quick way to delete colours from the palette itself?

If you have a 2 button mouse, just right-click on the colour you want to delete, and choose “Delete Color” from the pop-up menu.

Good suggestion. You can also control-click, of course.

OK got that guys thanks. What I really meant was like Quark & Freehand for example you can bring up a list of Unused Colours and just delete all. But I’m sure FW can’t do this, so I’ll do it your way!

The palette is way too cluttered.

Cheers!

If the colours are not set to be permanent then Freeway will do this
for you automatically, no need to go in and ask for this to happen.
If the colours are set to be permanent then they will stick around
even when not used somewhere.

If you open the Edit Colors dialog and uncheck the ‘Permanent’
checkboxes for the colours you don’t want, then as long as they’re
not used somewhere in your document they will disappear when you
close the dialog.
